FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What ability levels are welcome at your workouts?

I look forward to meeting you where you're at. Novices should not be intimidated and seasoned athletes should expect a challenge. A lot of my students feel that my kind and precise approach to difficult movements push their boundaries while simultaneously feeling supported. I believe that exercise and exertion should be life enhancing and not punitive.

What ages are welcome at your workouts?

Most of my students are adults 20+ and in their 30's, 40's and 50's. A matured teenager, age 13+, would be safe performing the exercises. A matured adult, later in life, is more than welcome to join with modifications and additional support. In all my classes, the workout regime may not be identical from student to student, but suited to your age and ability.

Are your workouts for all genders?

My workouts are welcome to all persons.

What attire is suitable for your workouts?

Most of my students wear running shoes, workout pants or shorts, tee shirts and layered sweatshirts. I recommend supportive clothing that facilitates your range of motion.

How do weather conditions affect your workouts?

I offer my workouts in all conditions except torrential downpour and, or lightening. I suggest wearing layers to peel off as you warm up.

How many days should I workout?

For the novice and those trying to maintain their physical shape, 2 -3 days is sufficient. If you are looking to see marked improvement, I recommend 4 days a week. My students who come 5 days a week have developed an ability where they do not need as much time between sessions. I highly value rest and recovery to compliment strain.

What should I do if I have concerns over a previous or recent injury?

Entering into a new workout program should be after receiving clearance from your physician and, or physical therapist. I have a background in overcoming a variety of injuries and ask that you please disclose where you are on your recovery journey. Range of motion is the core of my workouts and I will focus on unlocking the mechanisms that protect injuries before building strength.

Feel free to contact me prior to dropping in for a class, so that we can discuss your specific goals. info@davidstickler.com

Are there bathrooms available at the workout?

San Carlos Park has public restrooms with sinks and hand soap available.

Is preregistration/prepayment required?

Please join me for a class whenever you wish! Arrive 10 minutes before the start time so that we can meet and plan to stay 10 minutes after the end of the class to proceed with payment.
